KEEP PLOWING

Weekly, we come together to fellowship with other believers as we sit before our servant of God for spiritual nourishment. Are we just sitting? Just fellowshipping and becoming spiritually obese? Honestly, we are in varying church services entirely too much for there not to be any evidence of change or manifestation in our lives. At some point, we must grow tired of the same and the mundane and have a desire to see what the Lord said come to pass. We must be careful of what or who has our attention. We can’t afford to allow ourselves to become so consumed with any influence that we miss the command or the hand of the Lord in our life. In this season: DON’T FOCUS ON THE RESISTANCE! We must stand tall and firmly on the Word of God; not being easily swayed to the left or to the right. We must surrender, letting our guard down while giving God complete access to our life. God has an awesome plan for our lives, and even in the face of obstacles and life’s circumstances, we must be determined to KEEP PLOWING!

WHEN I THINK OF THE GOODNESS OF JESUS

The spirit of apostasy is still prevalent in today’s church. Daily, those who believed in and were actively serving God have simply walked away from the Gospel for varying reasons. But for those of us who are determined to remain steadfast on this journey, we must remember God is the key component of our salvation; He is even more important than our faith. We need Him…desperately! In His infinite wisdom, He has designed us for dependence on Him. It was never God’s plan that we find our own way in this life. He is our compass…HALLELUJAH! He is our provider! Because of Him, we can move past our limited resources and tap into our eternal source. All He desires from us is our “yes”…our obedience to Him. He is our protector! God will create a safe place for us, shielding us from the mayhem of this world. Oh, WHEN I THINK OF THE GOODNESS OF JESUS!!

GOD WAS IN THE WAY

Being chosen by God doesn’t exempt us from life’s struggles. It seems when we are told “no” or when things don’t happen as we expected, we easily become discouraged, downtrodden, and slowly, our focus moves away from God. Even in the face of disappointment, we must remember that God established and possesses the blueprint for our lives. Nothing that happens to us will ever catch God by surprise. He knows us, intimately, and He knows what He is working to accomplish in us and through us and sometimes, tough times are required. We must position ourselves to trust God over and against fear, allowing our faith to arise. We must become consistent in our prayer life, remembering that the Lord’s timing is perfect. We have to remember the last promise He made to us and use it as a fresh start to propel us to do the next thing or make the next move. There are so many things designed to get us off our course, but we can be thankful that GOD WAS IN THE WAY!

WARNING SIGNS

It is imperative that we come to recognize and understand the value of God’s presence and how He purposes to develop us so we don’t seek to please our flesh. The Word of the Lord comes to warn us, encourage us, and mature us along the way; yet so many have chosen to wander away from God because of leadership, people, or just because of “the church” in general. We must be careful of the scales on our eyes or the wrong voices in our ears during such a critical time in the body of Christ. Hard times have a way of making many surrender to idolatry. God help us! In this hour, may we seek after and become more committed to a pure relationship with Christ; choosing to abort distractions, negativity, and opposition. Warning signs are all around us: how will we respond?

IT'S TIME TO CANCEL THE DEVIL'S ASSIGNMENT

It is becoming clearer and clearer that the enemy is after every bit of our freedom! In many cases, we are feeding his attempt through careless approach to freedom, lack of value of freedom, and insufficient knowledge of how freedom was obtained on our behalf. We can’t journey along without understanding that there is a cost associated with our freedom; both naturally and spiritually. And, left unchecked, this very liberty that we have been gifted will afford us the opportunity to breed our own doctrine. This is why it is absolutely critical to guard both your eargate and eyegate in this season. No sickness, no job loss, no disappoint can stop us from showing the devil no fear as we continue to stand and fight as good soldiers. It is time for us, the believers of Christ, to arise and realize who we are and that we have the power to cancel the enemy’s assignment!

AGREE WITH ME IN PRAYER

We must become sincere as it relates to our relationship with Christ. No longer can we come before the Lord lackluster, halfheartedly offering our residual worship and yesterday praise. It is imperative that we ensure that we possess a real connection to Christ so that we do not become puppets of vain repetitions, seeking to please our consciousness through religious activity. As we observe self-reflection, may we be true in our assessment, realizing that we need to pursue refreshing, pursue renewal…pursue God; we can’t afford to take Him or His word for granted! May we not become weary, may we not faint, and may we never forget to ‘keep going’ even in the face of struggle, opposition, and life’s circumstances. Our Father is an ever-present help in the time of trouble and He is still the lifter of our heads, hands, and even our faith. May we find comfort in knowing that God is and can do EVERYTHING! We are blessed that He has found us faithful, placed us in the ministry where we can agree with one another in prayer.

SOMEBODY'S NOT SAVED IN HERE

Oftentimes, when people enter into a church service the perception is that everyone is saved and has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. There is no assumption that could be farther from the truth. As believers, we should be able to identify God’s people. We are in a season of revival, renewal, and reawakening and cannot afford to lose our momentum, our faith, our praise, or our worship. We must be encouraged to continue to endure as good soldiers. Others are watching us; how we live, how we treat others, and how we respond to life. Now is the time that we need to increase our capacity to receive strength, endurance, new direction, and new faith. As we come against opposition, the prayer is that God would help us to see Him in the midst of the things going on around us that we cannot understand. It is the hour to ensure through reassessment and self-evaluation that we are properly connected to Christ and walking out our purpose before His people because we should never take for granted this truth: somebody’s not saved in here!

IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS

One of the most important aspects on our Christian walk is self-inventory. This process requires removal of the mask, admission, and commitment to change. As we journey, it is critical that we maintain sobriety and vigilance in our pursuit. We can’t afford to have the little things to keep us bound. As we purpose to be accountable, we must also remember our responsibilities to those that surround us. Leaving our seemingly small issues unattended has an impact on our friends, families, and any others that may be connected to us. Though it may not be our job to live up to other people’s expectation of us, it is our duty to live out a life that properly represents the Kingdom of God. Simply said – there are things that we must change, stop doing, and get over in order for positivity and fruitfulness to flow. May we be obedient in doing away with the little things!

AFTER THIS...REVIVAL

The enemy’s plan for the believer is to keep us distracted, preoccupied with life’s circumstances with wavering focus on God. We are in a critical time in the body of Christ, such that we cannot afford to lose sight or lose heart. We must remember to hold tight to the Word and await the manifestation of the Lord in our lives. May we be mindful about not being moved by our emotions, concerns, or fears but rather desire and learn to see Jesus in and through everything. Even in our pain, loneliness, affliction, and brokenness, may we be assured that He is still able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ever ask or think! May the Lord grace us with contentment in this season so that our discomfort doesn’t cause us to change our confession; for after this…REVIVAL!

REVIVE US OH LORD

The world needs the true church of Jesus Christ to arise now more than ever before. We are being shaken and stirred to increase effectiveness in the Kingdom of God. As various tragedies occur throughout the land we, the church, need to be ready to embrace those that may enter by way of these events. This is not the hour for judgment but rather it is our responsibility to be an extension of our Father’s love, grace, mercy, and compassion. We have been called to be a light (not a spotlight) that draws our fellow brothers and sisters closer to God. May we be reminded that God has transformed us so that we can be instruments of transformation in the lives of His people. As we fulfill our assignment of carrying Jesus to other people, may we all be rejuvenated, refreshed, and restored!

5 WAYS TO INCREASE YOUR FAITHFULNESS

Maturity in spiritual things in imperative as we live out our lives before others as Christians. We must be mindful of and not fall subject to the snares of the enemy, our flesh, and our emotions. We must not waver from the knowledge of Christ because of offenses and wrong voices. What we know about the Lord should change our posture. Our spiritual component must be and remain intact. We can’t afford to be moved by man. We must maintain a watchful eye when it comes to those who may attempting to draw us away or block the very plan of God for our lives. We must strive to be diligent and God-conscious in all areas and in all of our efforts! As we work towards and find success in increasing our faithfulness, we will be better servants, committed to love and forgiveness.

DO IT AGAIN

On this journey, we will inevitably face circumstances that are embarrassing, painful, and seemingly overwhelming that will promote our running scared and hiding to avoid judgment and exposure. As of late, the warning of being aware of distractions has been prevalent during a time in which many have fallen away, or simply walked away, from the body and work of Christ. This truth has given way to opportunities for the believer to develop a more consistent prayer life, commit to a more faithful relationship with Christ, and to fall deeper in love with and embrace true worship. It is the hour for us to bring our brokenness and surrendered selves unto Our Savior. We must remember that although we experience difficult times in life, the Father has and will never forsake us! He has brought us out before and He will…DO IT AGAIN!

PRACTICING THE PRESENCE

As we develop spiritually and gain a proper perspective of our relationship with Christ and His mandate for the body, we begin to gain clarity on how to interact with the Divine and with one another. We begin to mature as Christ’s disciples, understanding the importance of self-denial and servitude. Our desire should be to have the ability to make a positive impact on the culture around us through living a life in context. We must practice being in His presence. Praise, worship, and prayer are all avenues for getting into the Lord’s presence daily. Our Savior deserves a continuous coronation! As we commune with our Father, we will find that everything that we need for success in this life is in His presence.

GO AHEAD MAMA, LET THEM GO

God is reproducing Himself in us. This is not the season for weariness, ceasing of assignments, losing heart, or losing focus. Rather it is important that we posture ourselves to receive from the Lord. As suffering arises, comfort will ensue. Our Father is the God of compassion and we can expect Him to show up on our behalf. As we journey, we will face opposition, but we must remember we are never alone. We must trust the Lord with our situations, issues, and circumstances. There will be some things that will never change until Jesus touches and speaks over it. THIS SETBACK IS JUST A SETUP

Daily, we fight against the world’s philosophies, standards, and influences because there is no reverence or honor for God. This truth fuels another: we must dive into the teachings and do the ministry of Christ in an effort to gain victory against our foe(s). We must stand firm on the knowledge that there’s a hope we possess that can’t be extinguished because God cares for us. God will help us to embrace and learn from our setbacks. During these temporal moments, we can’t afford to change our posture, our confidences, or our mindset. We must remember that God doesn’t waste any of our experiences because they are all used for His glory! How we respond to life situations speaks to our character, maturity, personality, and how much we trust God.

COME TO JESUS

In this season, those that are deemed “the faithful” need encouragement and restoration. Many are downtrodden, overwhelmed, and tired of life, church folk, and doing ministry. When we become so consumed with life and distracted by our issues, we lose sight of God’s hand on our life. He will purposely minimize our resources, maximize our needs, and work through our participation. In these moments, intentional efforts to tap into the Holy Scriptures for wisdom, strength, power, and comfort is essential. We must train our ears to hear God speaking over the noise of life. He is our guidance and our source. We must stay plugged in to His will and be rooted in Him, for the Lord is our well of love, well of hope, and our well of refreshing. If you have not experienced God in a personal way lately, it is time to COME TO JESUS!
