REACH UP! JESUS
IS HERE!

PASTOR ROBERT BROWN

April 13, 2016
Bible Text: Philippians 3:13-14

Whether by way of sickness, offense, or the loss of loved ones, the enemy will magnify our misfortune to promote His agenda. We can’t afford for everyday distractions to cause reactions that oppose our relationship with Christ. We must learn to be examples of how to live ‘until’. We have been purposed to be an extension of His character. Each of us has a part to play in building God’s kingdom. As important as this call is, many are struggling due to fatigue and discontentment. Several are still faithful but are not producing fruit. Because the service of ministry has taken on the burden of work, many who were once building blocks have become stumbling blocks and spiritual hoarders. As we begin to reassess our heart conditions as it relates to service, may we endeavor to let go of the past and get reacquainted with our divine instructions. Embrace the truth that only the WORD has the power to change our thinking, our actions, and our very lifestyles. It is restoration time; time for us to serve with refreshed perspective, a pure heart, right spirit, and a Christ-like mindset.

THIS IS THE WORK OF JESUS

PASTOR ROBERT BROWN

April 5, 2016
Bible Text: Luke 9:62

GOD IS OUR STANDARD! We must cease our attempts to bring Him down to our level as we develop intimacy with the knowledge of who God really is in our life. We should be encouraged knowing that God can do the miraculous…even for US! The Lord is still the healer, He is still raising the dead, and He is still performing miracles on the behalf of His people. It is time that we become rooted in God so that our carnal knowledge doesn’t cancel our spiritual faith. The enemy desires to keep us in bondage, to keep us from possessing a solid understanding of who God is. Some have succumbed to this spiritual captivity and as a result, the church is filled with dead man bones. Lethargy and cynicism have begun to take root. The shell of the faithful servant now only desires the benefits of the church instead of the God of the church. For those that are dedicated servants in ministry, it is time for self-inventory and refreshing. We must ensure that in the midst of our servitude we are not bleeding on others, preventing them from properly connecting to the Kingdom. As we continue to labor and serve, may we do so with patience, showing mercy, and extending grace because, after all, this IS the work of CHRIST!

HERE COMES JESUS

PASTOR ROBERT BROWN

April 3, 2016
Bible Text: Joshua 20:1-6

We must develop a true love for God’s Word. We must intensify our relationship with the scriptures for they are a tangible source that speaks life, shows us how much God loves us, and brings us help and hope in times of need. We need to have knowledge and understanding of text like Isaiah 54:17, Romans 15:4, and Psalm 46:1. As we embrace the Holy Scriptures, we begin to gain clarity in our lives and begin to understand that God has not finished with us. This reality should give us hope and strength that our current circumstance doesn’t equate to our final destination. We have been freed from the clutches of the avenger’s blood. HALLELUJAH! Jesus, still today, stands between our sin and judgment. It is important that we recognize the power and weight that this truth holds and what it means to have Jesus show up for us through fulfillment of the scriptures. Because of Jesus, we are a liberated people, a saved people. We are free indeed because our High Priest died so that we may live!

JESUS VS THE CHURCH

PASTOR ROBERT BROWN

March 29, 2016
Bible Text: John 5:39-40

WE ARE FREE TO WORSHIP THE LIVING GOD! We really need to allow this thought to sink in and resonate. Daily we should be reminded of and empowered by our liberty to serve God. As the reflection of Christ in the Earth, we must be accountable citizens of the Kingdom. We must be focused in our efforts, sincere in our approach, and committed to our assignments. We can’t allow life’s circumstances to dictate how we live for God. We can’t afford to be so consumed by the old that we never make room for or embrace the new. No more being held hostage to past failures. No more being trapped by crippling habits, bad attitudes, and old mindsets. NO MORE EXCUSES! May God continue to reveal Himself to us as we discontinue giving life to dead situations and become true vessels of servitude with Jesus as our primary priority. As we journey, may we endeavor to become disassociated with organized religion and become known by our relationship with the living God, who has the power to change lives forever!

I STILL BELIEVE IN JESUS

PASTOR ROBERT BROWN

March 27, 2016
Bible Text: 1 Peter 1:1-9

In the midst of social conditions, domestic hardships, and internal warring, joy and pride have been displaced in the life of the believer. Many have become disconnected from the fulfilment and responsibility of servitude. In the wake of this unfortunate reality, we must be reminded that, as followers of Jesus, He made choice of us! We can’t afford to be so distracted, so removed, and so nonchalant that we dishonor and disrespect the cross through our lethargy. Renewal is available to us daily. Mind renewal. Heart renewal. Love renewal. It’s time that we become awake and behave as though we serve the LIVING GOD! We are thankful that He is merciful when we are sinful. We are thankful that He is faithful when we are not worthy of His faithfulness. We are thankful that He is our righteous redeemer! We can say with confidence that ‘nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus!’ As we journey on, may we find comfort in knowing that as the elect of God, we possess a hope and are kept by a power that is insurmountable. Though we may go through trials and suffer persecution, there’s a special surety that we as the body own because WE STILL BELIEVE IN JESUS!

WHEN JESUS GIVES YOU A MIRACLE

PASTOR ROBERT BROWN

March 20, 2016
Bible Text: John 12:1-11

Martin Luther King Jr. President Barack Obama. Billy Graham. You. Me. Us. JESUS! We have all been provided the same yet unique opportunity – to make a lasting impression on the world around us or, in other words, to be HISTORY MAKERS! (Jesus being our great example!) We are a privileged people who have been afforded the freedom of religion. Sometimes we become bound by this liberty as it has the potential to hinder us from having a true understanding of the sacrifice of those who went before us, who paved the way, and actually gave their very lives for the gospel. We are students of Christianity have been provided a book of historical accounts meant to enhance our faith as we take the words on each page and make application to our lives. We can no longer position ourselves in someone else’s belief system. Intimate and personal relationship with God is mandatory. The Word is our strong foundation that permits and encourages us to stand without wavering. Remember, we are history makers privileged to make history because of HIStory!

I BELONG TO JESUS

PASTOR ROBERT BROWN

March 15, 2016
Bible Text: Galatians 6:14-16

The church of Christ has developed a taste to be entertained instead of listening and adhering to sound doctrine. This is the hour that our motives and service will be challenged. The Lord is positioning His leaders to demonstrate true impartation. The words that will be released in this season are on assignment. They are coming to reposition us and manifest change in our lives. We must learn and embrace the power of words. As Christians, there is a mandate on our life to walk out the instructions and teachings of Jesus Christ, to follow Him in our living and in our service. Every word that Jesus spoke carried weight. Now, we must do our part. We must be intentional in our efforts to prepare the church of tomorrow by being the faithful church today. Religion does not reflect relationship. We are a blessed people; a free people. Let’s be mindful not to block God with our words or actions because of lack of understanding but rather remember WE BELONG TO JESUS!

BLESSED TO MANIFEST

PASTOR ROBERT BROWN

Bible Text: Luke 1:28

The scales are beginning to fall off of the eyes of the believer. We are evolving. Daily, our Father is orchestrating connections that will cause a heightened awareness and unfolding of our purpose. He loves us. He is making a way for us. He has made choice of us. It is time for manifestation of the Kingdom of God in the Earth. This will not be easy. Our enemy will magnify our misfortune in an effort to promote his agenda. But, the scales are falling off of the eyes of the believer! We refuse to be setback by the devil’s tactics. We must remember the history that we have with Christ. During our toughest circumstances, through our overwhelming trials, and in the midst of our darkest hours, we can’t forget the authority of the anointing. We have been called to do something that is beyond us. May we be constantly reminded that God is with us, He favors us, He has blessed us, and HE MADE CHOICE OF US!

JESUS IS NOT RUNNING FOR RE-ELECTION

PASTOR ROBERT BROWN

March 8, 2016
Bible Text: Revelation 1:8

We, the collective body of believers, have been called to the ministry of Jesus Christ and it is time for us to refocus and get back to Jesus. We have embarked upon a season of birthing where new strategies for doing ministry are being brought to the forefront in an effort to manifest the Kingdom of God in the Earth. It will no longer be church as usual. We will no longer operate as the church of yesterday, but we will be led and moved by the Holy Ghost because we ARE making HISTORY! It is time for us to stand firm on our convictions, no longer losing our stance in God to bow to the culture of this world. Whatever the Lord has spoken over our lives WILL come to pass. There is assurance in the cross.

GO AHEAD…ASK AGAIN

Pastor Robert Brown

February 23, 2016
Bible Text: Acts 12:1-5

The enemy is after our faith. He’s attempted to convince and wants us to believe that we are stuck in substandard conditions, that we have not changed since adapting to a Christ-led lifestyle, and that the chains of bondage are not breaking off of our lives. How do we respond? We endeavor to feed our faith and starve our fears. We revisit the history that we have with God in our lives. We are in a dispensation of time where we must be alert to, aware of, and attuned with the Holy Spirit. We can’t afford to be in God’s presence and still miss Him because of internal and external pessimistic diversions. If there is a true desire for us to see what we’re praying for, peripheral examination and self-reflection must be executed. Don’t be paralyzed by past delays, cancellations, anxieties or defeats. Create an atmosphere before His throne, enter into His presence believing that He hears you, and ASK AGAIN!

ON MY WAY TO CHURCH

Pastor Robert Brown

February 16, 2016
Bible Text: Acts 3:1-8

The routine of “doing church” can breed discouragement. This infiltration into our spirit man can cause us to become lethargic and tired. Tired of waiting for change. Tired of waiting for the next miracle. Tired of just being plain tired. But we must believe that Our Father knows best and that sometimes, He takes us the long way to get us together. We must stay the course! There is more when we are patient. Now is NOT the time to lose our sense of purpose and passion! If we take a moment to remember to remember, we will realize that we are the rescued and redeemed of Christ! The time has come for believers to refuse to bow to the world’s standards, beliefs, and creeds. It’s time for us to set our hearts, hopes, and affections on serving the Kingdom. May we be reminded that God is our keeper, our redeemer, our protector, our coverer…the very One who sustains us! It is our time and season to make a difference in the world around us. From this day forward, may we declare that we will not only go to church, but we will BE THE CHURCH!

POWER FROM ON HIGH

Pastor Robert Brown

February 14, 2016
Bible Text: Acts 2:1-4

The God of our salvation is doing something DIFFERENT in the body of Christ! Do not be fooled into thinking or be manipulated into believing that because you’ve been a certain way or have always done a certain thing that God doesn’t possess the power to transform YOU! We have been set aside on purpose and filled with purpose. As vessels of light and hope, we will begin to see change in the world around us, for our lives are the greatest testament of Jesus’ supreme power. The transformation that has taken place within us will be replicated in our Jerusalem. The journey ahead will not be void of opposition. The enemy will surface. We will have to fight against negative thinking and conversations, wrong influences, desire to compromise, and familiar spirits. May we be reminded that we possess the power to overcome! Don’t miss the shift happening NOW! Don’t ever overlook what God has done! Declare that the Lord will renew minds, He will change circumstances, and He will break strongholds in us, through us, and around us! Revelation is here and illumination has come so that we can begin to live our lives on purpose. Put your faith in the POWER FROM ON HIGH!

ANOINTED FOR JERUSALEM

Pastor Robert Brown

February 7, 2016
Bible Text: Acts 1:1-12

NO MORE CHURCH AS USUAL…LET THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD SAY SO! This is the mindset and stance that must be taken in this critical time. There is a formal directive upon us to understand, embrace, and implement the mission of the church in this hour. We can’t afford to be distracted by sickness, pain, or relationship issues, we cannot be trapped by perverted perspectives, and it is time to cut ties with our carnal tendencies that keep us bound as reflections of who we used to be. The awakening is here. We are the army of the Lord Jesus Christ! May we be formerly identified with selfishness, pride, rigidness, and bullying. May we commit to standing bold, living free, and performing every one of our assignments as unto the Lord. May we be reminded of the power of the anointing, for it is the anointing that will destroy the yokes in our Jerusalem. God has saved and redeemed us for a lost people; for such a time as this.

I NEED A MIRACLE

Pastor Robert Brown

January 24, 2016
Bible Text: John 2:1-11

Because our walk and relationship with Christ has to be personal before it can be communal, we must pose the following questions for self-reflection: Do YOU need a miracle? Do YOU believe that miracles can still happen in the Earth? Do YOU believe that the God of miracles is still able to perform them? In this season, God desires to do more for us, to give us the best of the best, and to show us greater than what we are presently experiencing, but His desire is not void of expectation from us. As we obtain knowledge of the Word and draw closer to God, we must then utilize this knowledge to affect our lifestyles so that we can manifest Christ in the Earth! As we go about our various assignments, may we continue to endeavor, continue to stay properly connected, continue to stand, and continue to believe…miracles, signs, and wonders will accompany us along the way!

I BELONG TO GOD

Pastor Robert Brown

January 17, 2016
Bible Text: Isaiah 59:19

As life would have it, life happens to each one of us on a daily basis. Circumstances arise and complex situations become our reality by way of our families, our careers, and our internal struggles. As believers and servants of Christ, we are not excluded from these life happenings, but the way we think about, act towards, and respond to them should indeed be different from the world. We, as followers of Christ, have submitted to and operate under a different set of standards and there should be evidence of this truth outside of lip service. We must be mindful of the wicked devices of the enemy and how his attacks simply come as a distraction to cause a reaction from us that would be outside of the confines of the scriptures.

As we go about this journey with Our Father as our guide, there are some principles that we should embrace that will propel us along the way:

  • What God is trying to do in us will outlive us
  • A flourishing life is evidence of understanding God’s care for us
  • Live life within the confines of the scripture
  • We must hide the Word in our hearts so that we produce God results

Be encouraged in knowing that whatever trials we may be experiencing, whatever hardship we are currently facing, or whatever ordeal seems to have our complete focus, the way of resolution has been paved by someone who survived it before us. Let us be reminded today that we can handle it because no death problem exists without a life option and we belong to God – the Giver of Life!
